About Norwood Park, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Suited in Chicago, Norwood Park includes smaller neighborhoods of Old Norwood Park, Norwood Park West, Norwood Park East, Union Ridge and Big Oaks. Back in 1874, the village boasted a country setting which provided an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Adorning hills and woodland lands, early developers made plans to create many resorts for people to relax. The community area boasts some of Chicago's oldest buildings including Noble-Seymour-Crippen House.

With an estimated population of 36,651 residents, Norwood Park is a quiet place to live with many elegant houses. Norwood Town’s neighborhood has a thriving Siberian-American community and remains as the heart of Siberian migrants today. Taft High School is situated in the area and offers public education to the entire community.

The Village of Norwood Park was constructed to resemble a park-like residential suburban area, comprising of many wide streets, large lots, and elegant family homes. The town features a curvilinear street pattern.  On Memorial Day, a parade runs through the town every year. This parade has been Norwood Park’s tradition since 1922, which the town folks have kept alive for more than 90 years.  Norwood Parks has said to influence the production of the original Grease musical as the creator and writer Jim Jacobs went to Taft High School. The high school was also used as a backdrop for the musical.

The temperature spiked up to 75 degrees during the summer, especially in July. Residents must have well-functioning air-conditioning systems to withstand the heat. The temperature drops during winter seasons and remains cold from November till the middle of February. Installing heat pumps is necessary if residents want to stay warm. Town folks can use the chilly weather outside to enjoy winter activities such as skiing.
