Suited for the Northwest Side of the city, Jefferson Park is one of the community centers of Chicago. The city is bordered by neighboring towns including Norwood Park, Harwood Height, Portage Park and Forest Glen. Named after its lush green space, Jefferson Park serves to be a family-friendly community that is a popular residential area for Chicago's police officers, teachers, and firefighters. The town hosts two exciting festivals every year: the Taste of Polonia in light of Labor Day and the Jeff Fest during June. Known for its transportation hub, Jefferson Park has lived up to its name of being "The Gateway to Chicago."
